Postpartum Doula Services
Serving: Boise, Nampa, Caldwell,
Mountain Home, and surrounding areas.


June Blackhurst,PCD(DONA) a certified postpartum doula, provides care to postpartum families during the 4th trimester. My goal is to nurture families so they can feel content and confident in their new roles as parents. Antepartum doula care, is also available for families desiring extra help and guidance during pregnancy. Please see descriptions below to learn more about these services.

Emotional Support:

Helping parents learn and grow into their new roles, first time parents or

juggling the needs of multiple children.
Assisting siblings as they adjust.
Supporting new parents by offering a non-judgmental ear.
Helping mothers experiencing pregnancy and/or postpartum mood
disorders.

Education:
Guidance on all baby care including how to give the first bath,
swaddling, burping techniques, soothing, baby wearing and more.
Provides referrals for other community support people.
Provides a lending library.
Breastfeeding help.

Physical:
Helping with childcare so that new parents can shower, nap, or eat.
Meal preparation and planning, dishes, and laundry services.
Comfort measures for postpartum healing.
Accompanying families on outings, it can be helpful to have an extra set of hands.
Running errands so you don’t have to leave the house.
Help with organizing the home.
Help with light housework.
